After traveling miles and thinking that the car behind me was following, it was just a stupid coincidence. But the worst example of this happened when I called for emergency plumbing service on a random Saturday night because I thought that there was a water leak in my bathroom when I saw a pool of water near my sink. As it turns out, I knocked over a cup of water that had been sitting on the countertop. When the plumber was inspecting the water line, I discovered the cup on the floor right next to the supposed “water leak.”

I have a lot of pets in my home. When I was a child, I always adored animals. But my parents would only let me have a goldfish. Now as an adult, I have adopted three cats and two dogs. As a landlord, I face many challenges daily. Keeping my tenants happy is one of them. I own four houses that have been rented out for the last 5 years by the same families. If you live in a region that experiences multiple seasons every year, you can’t afford to avoid being vigilant. Although I don’t have the ability to burn wood to stay warm in the winter, there are a whole plethora of things to do before the cold season starts every year. My cousin and I grew up in the same neighborhood and shared the same friend group.

We weren’t even a full year apart in age so we were lucky enough to both be in the same grade at school as well.

Since we didn’t have the same last name, we often exploited the fact that it wasn’t obvious that we were related. Working from home isn’t a magic ticket to happiness, especially if you struggle with getting distracted easily. In the beginning I often felt compelled to check my email or social media accounts at random times. Or a question will pop in my mind and I will jump onto Google to get a quick answer. If you do this a few times every hour, it consumes a good portion of your workday. Unless you can be dedicated toward fighting back against these impulses, you won’t be successful working from home. It definitely took a few weeks for me to acclimate myself to working in my house and not in an office somewhere. One thing that helped a lot was creating a home office that has as few distractions inside as humanly possible. I don’t want my guitars or a large TV in the office if I’m going to feel compelled to indulge in urges to waste time with either. Aside from my desk and chair, I simply have my laptop, an additional computer monitor, and a loveseat off to the side for whenever I get really tired and need to take a quick nap. Another thing that helped me with working from home was creating heating and cooling schedules with my digital HVAC thermostat. You can set the temperatures based on the hour of the day and the day of the week. That way you never have to waste your time getting up and adjusting your HVAC thermostat throughout the day. Since it wastes valuable work time to adjust my thermostat, making the schedules ahead of time is a huge benefit.

I thought stuff was supposed to get easier the older you get… At least that was the impression that I had from our parents’ experience; But I’m guessing they kept numerous of the challenges the people I was with plus I are now facing to themselves back then; My fiance plus I are empty nesters who decided to get into this ultra tepid housing market, however while the people I was with plus I are both still nearly a decade or more from retirement, paring down our lives seemed doable given the financial incentive, however so the people I was with plus I upgraded the heating plus a/c component along with numerous other facets of our family beach home to get it on the market! I certainly didn’t have any idea things would transfer as abruptly as they did.

I was just getting accustomed to the new zone controlled heating plus a/c plus the smart temperature control the heating plus a/c supplier installed; Our new heating plus a/c component has the latest in heating plus a/c technology plus super SEER ratings.

So that aspect was a big selling point. I just thought we’d have a bit more time when the lake home hit the market. The reality is there was a bidding war for our lake home plus the people I was with plus I ended up selling for nearly 20 percent over an already steep asking price. The thing is that we had to get out in adore 60 days So the people I was with plus I honestly had to get after it while also entirely laboring our full time work.
