When I grew up I believed that all of us needed to go to an office job all morning until all of us were at least 55 years old. This is why I got my degree in mechanical engineering so I could buy all the items to make myself and others ecstatic care about everyone else. Well, after a few days on the job in the Valley in Cali, I soon discovered that the more than eight to five wasn’t for me. However, it’s not easy to walk away from an important salary when you’re only 30 years old. I first told my boss that yes I would stay. But after a few nights in that air conditioned cubicle staring constantly at a screen, I realized that no amount of money could keep myself and others there plus I departed. That was 22 years ago now plus I never regretted it for an hour. I remember the thoroughly heated air that would come out of the ventilation at my job almost made myself and others ill from the dust in it. They didn’t clean the ductwork plus it created all of this dust plus severe allergic reactions in myself and others that made my miserable job even worse! I used to tape $130 on my cubicle wall to inspire myself and others to keep working plus that the money was totally worth it, that almost sounds care about a sitcom. The funny thing is, the corporation I worked at built AC compressors plus filtration systems but they couldn’t seem to keep their own advanced air conditioners clean plus dust free. Sometimes, life itself can offer the best materials for a now working comedian.
